Dimensions & Weight

Exact measurements for this piece are being added — reach out and we're happy to confirm dimensions before you order.

Care & Maintenance

Hand wash only with warm water and mild soap, and dry immediately — never leave a blade soaking or run it through a dishwasher. Wipe on a light coat of food-grade mineral oil after use to protect the steel, and store it dry in a sheath, knife roll, or on a magnetic strip. A few seconds of care after each use keeps a hand-forged edge true for decades.

Personalisation & Engraving

Make it truly yours — we can engrave a name, date, monogram, or graphic on most of our blades using a 50-watt fiber laser for crisp, permanent detail.

Simply send us your engraving details by email after placing your order and we'll take care of the rest.

Shipping & Returns

Every order ships tracked across Canada and the USA, with free shipping on orders over $150. In-stock pieces leave the forge within a few business days; made-to-order pieces take a little longer, and we'll keep you posted along the way.

If something isn't right when it arrives, reach out to our team — we review every return request with care and will always work with you to make it right.

About this piece

A hand-forged fixed-blade knife built in the bowie tradition, finished with a genuine stag antler handle and a hand-fitted cross-cutout guard. The blade pairs a clip-point profile with a sawback spine along the top third — one edge for cutting, the other for rope, notching, and light sawing work. Comes complete with a leather sheath for carry and storage. Antler grain is one-of-a-kind, so no two knives are ever quite alike.

The details: D2 tool steel (60–62 HRC) — a semi-stainless steel prized for excellent wear resistance and edge retention, with moderate corrosion resistance. Dual quillon guard in a mirror-polished steel finish with a cross cutout at the ricasso. Full genuine stag antler handle, finished with a polished pommel cap. Full tang construction. Includes a leather sheath. Hand wash the blade, dry immediately, light coat of oil; wipe the sheath clean and keep it dry.

Built to be handled, built to be kept: The sawback spine and full-length cutting edge make this knife just as at home on a camp table as in a display case. The cross cutout and natural antler grip give it the kind of character that's hard to find in factory-made knives — a collector's piece as much as a working tool.

Every piece leaves the forge ready for a lifetime of use — our Knife Care guide covers the few simple habits that keep a hand-forged edge that way.

FAQ

Does it come with a sheath? Yes — every knife ships with a leather sheath for safe carry and storage.

Will D2 steel rust? D2 is a semi-stainless tool steel — more corrosion-resistant than plain carbon steel, though not fully stainless. Wipe it dry after use and apply a light coat of oil now and then, and it'll hold its edge for years.

Does the stag antler handle vary between knives? Yes — natural antler grain, color, and texture are unique to each piece, so the knife you receive won't look exactly like the photos.

What does "full tang" mean, and why does it matter? The blade steel runs the full length of the handle in one piece, giving the knife better balance and long-term durability.

01 — Forged

Shaped at the anvil

Bar stock is heated and hammered to shape by hand — every bevel drawn out at the anvil, never stamped from a sheet.

02 — Tempered

Hardened true

Each blade is hardened and tempered in controlled cycles, balancing a keen, hard edge with a resilient spine.

03 — Finished

Fitted & inspected

Ground, polished and fitted with its handle, then inspected edge to pommel before it ever leaves the forge.
