Care & Maintenance
Hand wash only with warm water and mild soap, and dry immediately — never leave a blade soaking or run it through a dishwasher. Wipe on a light coat of food-grade mineral oil after use to protect the steel, and store it dry in a sheath, knife roll, or on a magnetic strip. A few seconds of care after each use keeps a hand-forged edge true for decades.

From the forge
About this piece
A wide-bladed chef's knife hand-forged from high-carbon steel, differentially hardened to leave a natural hamon line where the hard edge meets the softer spine. The broad, straight edge makes quick work of chopping vegetables and portioning proteins.
The handle is cast in a deep red, white, and blue swirled resin for a one-of-a-kind look — no two pieces are exactly alike.
The details: Carbon steel (58–65 HRC), hand-forged, mirror-polished edge. Full tang construction. Cast resin handle, brass pins. Hand wash, dry immediately, occasional light oiling to prevent staining.
A gift worth giving: An everyday knife with a one-of-a-kind handle — practical enough to use daily, distinctive enough to be a genuine gift.
Every piece leaves the forge ready for a lifetime of use — our Knife Care guide covers the few simple habits that keep a hand-forged edge that way.
FAQ
Is this dishwasher safe? No — hand wash and dry after use; oil the blade occasionally to prevent staining.
What's a hamon line? It's the visible line left by differential hardening, where the hard cutting edge meets the softer spine — a traditional forging technique that's both functional and a mark of hand craftsmanship.
What does "full tang" mean, and why does it matter? The blade steel runs the full length of the handle in one piece — better balance and durability for everyday chopping.
01 — Forged
Shaped at the anvil
Bar stock is heated and hammered to shape by hand — every bevel drawn out at the anvil, never stamped from a sheet.
02 — Tempered
Hardened true
Each blade is hardened and tempered in controlled cycles, balancing a keen, hard edge with a resilient spine.
03 — Finished
Fitted & inspected
Ground, polished and fitted with its handle, then inspected edge to pommel before it ever leaves the forge.
