Care & Maintenance
Hand wash only with warm water and mild soap, and dry immediately — never leave a blade soaking or run it through a dishwasher. Wipe on a light coat of food-grade mineral oil after use to protect the steel, and store it dry in a sheath, knife roll, or on a magnetic strip. A few seconds of care after each use keeps a hand-forged edge true for decades.

Full-price items can be returned within 14 days of delivery, unused and in their original packaging. Sale items and engraved pieces are final sale. If any piece, including a sale or engraved piece, arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, contact us and we'll refund or replace it and cover the return shipping.

About this piece
A hand-forged place setting in a black finish.
Four medieval-style utensils for one person at the table: a knife, a spoon, a two-prong fork and a food pick, forged from carbon steel in a dark, hammered finish. The knife has a twisted handle that bends into a loop, and the spoon and fork have twisted necks with a small curl at the end.

- Black hammered finish on every piece.
- Twisted by hand: each set is slightly different.
- Leather sheath included.
- Free engraving: up to 20 characters on the knife blade or on the leather sheath. Engraving adds 2 business days, and engraved pieces are final sale.
Size (approximate): the pieces are about 7 to 9 in (18 to 23 cm) long. Every piece is forged by hand, so sizes vary slightly.
What's included: 1 knife, 1 spoon, 1 fork, 1 food pick and a leather sheath.
Made to order: each set is forged after you order.
Care: carbon steel can rust if it is left wet. Hand wash, dry right away, and wipe the steel with a little food-safe oil now and then. Not for the dishwasher.

Bar stock is heated and hammered to shape by hand — every bevel drawn out at the anvil, never stamped from a sheet.

Each blade is hardened and tempered in controlled cycles, balancing a keen, hard edge with a resilient spine.

Fitted & inspected
Ground, polished and fitted with its handle, then inspected edge to pommel before it ever leaves the forge.
