Care & Maintenance
Hand wash only with warm water and mild soap, and dry immediately — never leave a blade soaking or run it through a dishwasher. Wipe on a light coat of food-grade mineral oil after use to protect the steel, and store it dry in a sheath, knife roll, or on a magnetic strip. A few seconds of care after each use keeps a hand-forged edge true for decades.

Full-price items can be returned within 14 days of delivery, unused and in their original packaging. Sale items and engraved pieces are final sale. If any piece, including a sale or engraved piece, arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, contact us and we'll refund or replace it and cover the return shipping.

About this piece
A full-grain leather apron built for the grill, the smoker, or the kitchen — adjustable buckle straps, a heavy front pocket, and a dedicated knife pocket. Every apron is finished with our leather Northbound Blade patch and only gets better looking with age. Available in three colors: black, brown, and tan.
The details: Full-grain leather, finished with a distressed, broken-in look from day one. Adjustable buckle neck strap for a comfortable fit. Front pocket for tools, a thermometer, or your phone, plus a dedicated knife pocket. Available in two height-based sizes — choose according to your height using the measurements below. Wipe clean and condition with a leather balm every few months to keep it supple.

Selected & cut by hand
Full-grain hides are inspected for grain and thickness, then cut and skived by hand, panel by panel, before a single stitch goes in.
02 — Stitched
Saddle-stitched by hand
Every seam is hand-stitched with waxed thread using two needles worked in tandem, so it holds even if a single stitch is cut.
03 — Finished
Burnished & conditioned
Edges are burnished smooth and sealed, then the leather is conditioned with natural oils to deepen its patina and protect it for years of daily use.
